i keep every bit of communication that transpires between myself and certain persons. i cannot bear to delete it. it's useless, generally. sometimes it is merely a terse question requesting information. it still stays.

I do the same thing. I can't bear to part with even the most insignificant scraps from some people; banal or not, those scraps are part of the story. In the end, our communication becomes a sort of biography; I imagine that a fair bit of my life story will ultimately be chronicled in my gmail account.
Also, your blog is wonderful, and consumating is suddenly terribly deficient in Beautiful Things.
